Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 99. Stephanie Betcher, 25 of Morrisdale, reached over to put down the passenger side visor because the sun was in her eyes. When doing so, the papers that were behind the visor began flying around the vehicle. She reached back over to put the visor back up and then lost control of her vehicle. The 1997 Ford Ranger she was driving slid off the road and hit a guide rail. Police were assisted by the Port Matilda Emergency Medical Service and the Port Matilda Volunteer Fire Company.
