DUBOIS – The City of Dubois held a public hearing Monday evening.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss using 2007 and 2008 money that was approved for demolition of dilapidated buildings for the paving of alleys and also to revise the budgets for 2007 and 2008.
The revision for 2007 was in the amount of $14,755.51. Spot clearing was originally budgeted $16,554 and was modified to $1,798.49.
The changes in the 2008 budget came from a fire truck purchase. The city was originally budgeted $100,000, which was modified to $96,315.77, a difference of $3,684.23. The Sand Lick Creek Footbridges was originally budgeted $141,900 and was changed to $140,189.04, a difference of $1,710.96. Alley paving was originally not budgeted but saw a modification of $38,690.19.
Council voted to approve the modifications as presented by Lance Marshall at the hearing.
