Robert A. Bowley, Age 80, of Route 322, Brookville, PA, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
Born on June 5, 1930 in Brookville, PA, he was the son of the late Amos and Elizabeth (Swab) Bowley.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Korean War Era.
He was a close friend and associate of R. Leo Ferraro, CPA with Clyde, Ferraro, & Co. for over 40 years.
He attended the Pennsylvania State University and graduated from Myers University in Cleveland, OH.
He was a recruiter and taught for a number of years at the DuBois Business College.
He was a founding board member of the Corsica-Rose Union Municipal Authority.
He enjoyed working on his farm and being with his many friends in the Brookville Area.
He is survived by his companion of over 50 years, Margaret “Jean” Rosborough, a brother, Harry Bowley of Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers (Ernest, Raymond, & James Bowley, and an infant brother Wayne)
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
The DuBois Area Honor Guard will conduct a ritual service on Wednesday at 1:15 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home with Fr. Jack Bauer officiating.
Full Military Honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Roseville Cemetery.
