GRAMPIAN – Penelec said that 235 of its customers in the Grampian area were without power Thursday night for almost 3 hours, as a result of an animal contact.Â
According to Penelec spokesman John Shimko, the outage began around 11:30 p.m.Â
Crews were called out to patrol the circuit and discovered a dead raccoon on a transformer on Appleton Hill Rd. in Hepburnia. The raccoon was removed and power was restored to all customers at 2:25 a.m. Friday morning.Â
