CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Babe Ruth League 13-to-15 All-Stars will play newcomer Keystone, a team from the Lock Haven area, in one of Friday’s two District 8 Tournament openers at Coudersport.
State College and West End of Williamsport are paired in the other 5 p.m. game.
The double-elimination tourney resumes Saturday at 11 a.m. with host Potter/McKean awaiting the Clearfield/Keystone winner before the State College-West End winner takes on Altoona, another new entry this year, at 2 p.m.
A loss Friday would drop Clearfield into a 5 p.m. elimination game.
Sid Lansberry is the head coach of the Clearfield All-Stars, with Ken Duckett, Ed Yeager and Brandon Billotte assisting.
The 2010 Clearfield BRL All-Stars are Nate Bumbarger, Dale Confer, Christian Flood, Seth Ford, Devin Jones, Matt Josephson, Coleman Kubala, Jonas Kochan, Matt Kushner, Christian Lezzer, Tanner Ogden, Ben Panebianco, Mason Root and Christian Stone.
