GRAMPIAN – An incident of theft by deception occurred at the Grampian One Stop on July 3 that resulted in a $43 loss for the store.
Police reported that two black men entered the store and bought cigarettes. The one man then attempted to exchange a $50 bill for smaller bills while the other man distracted the attendant. The men left the store with their $50 bill and an additional $43.
The men were described to be between 50-60 years old and very well dressed. One of the men was wearing a round had and shiny shoes. The men left in a black car with possible New Jersey plates.
Police are asking anyone with information call 857-3800.
