Audrey Virginia Lucas, 84, of Hyde, passed away on July 5, 2010 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Mrs. Lucas was born on March 10, 1926 in Hyde, the daughter of Frank Robert and Lovina Isabelle (Gearhart) Mitchell.
She had been employed at Dupont Airplane and Marine, did housecleaning for various families in the Clearfield area for many years and was a Homemaker.
Mrs. Lucas attended the Faith Bible Church in Lumber City.
She had been a breast cancer survivor since 2003 and was an avid reader.
Mrs. Lucas is survived by three children; James L. Mitchell and his wife Sheila M. of Coneshus, NY., Daniel G. Mitchell, Sr. and his wife Constance of Hyde and Jody Lucas Kulakowski and her husband George of Punxsutawney, three step daughters; Beverly, Pam and Peggy, a step son, Russell, twenty grandchildren and step grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and two brothers; Dorsey Mitchell and his wife Lillian of Sairborn, OH and Harold Mitchell and his wife Cathy of Homer City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Lee Lucas whom she on July 15, 1967 and who passed away on July 26, 2006, two sisters; Anna and Della Belle and two brothers; Daniel and Robert.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m.on July 8 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., of Clearfield with Pastor Scott Schultz officiating. Interment will be in Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
