Police are investigating a burglary that occurred sometime between April 25 and June 28 on Highland-Kane Road in Highland Township of Elk County. Someone entered the residence using a spare key that was hidden. Once inside the person rummaged through the place and removed a silver Timex watch, a white gold sapphire ring, a clear “trinket” box with a carousel of pink and blue horses on top, and a silver “trinket” tin with gray and silver cats painted on the lid. The person then entered an unlocked metal shed behind the camp and removed an eight pound sledge hammer with wooden handle and a double blade axe with a wooden handle. The person also took a log splitter that was located outside the shed. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police at 814-776-6136.
