CLEARFIELD – Due to received information, the Clearfield Borough Police Department has been prompted to warn residents of a phone scam.
According to the report, someone has been contacting residents and identifying himself as a member of a local ambulance service. The caller asked for personal information, police said.
Police said the caller asked for information about if the resident resides alone, takes any medication, etc.
“Residents should not provide (any) personal information to subjects who they don’t know,” police said.
Anyone who receives these calls should use caution and notify their local police department immediately for assistance.
