– Police are investigating a two-vehicle accident that occurred at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of state Route 53 and United States Route 322 in Philipsburg Borough. It was determined that a Ford Ranger pick-up was stopped for a red light.
At that time, a Chevrolet Cavalier rear-ended the pick-up with its front-end. No injuries were reported. Occupants of the Cavalier reported wearing their seatbelts; the pick-up truck’s operator reported he wasn’t wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. The operator was warned for this violation. The operator of the Cavalier will be cited for following too closely.
