Lela E. Milligan, 96 of Clearfield died on June 18, 2010 at Clearfield Hospital.
She was born on March 27, 1914 in Shiloh, a daughter of the late Ferd and Minnie (Powell) Maines.
Mrs. Milligan was employed at Amphenol Corporation in Chatsworth, CA, retiring in June 1977.
After her retirement, she moved to Olean, NY, becoming a member of the Olean Church of the Nazarene where she served as Sunday school superintendent for thirteen years until the age of 81 and held various other offices within the church.
She then moved to Clearfield in 1995 where she continued her volunteer work and became a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Clearfield.
She is survived by two children:

Five grandchildren:

       Justin and Brian Lee, Scott, Andrew and Jonathan Evans, Jeanine Evans Bennett;
Four great-great-grandchildren:
       Amber Rain Evans, twins Purnell and Chrina Bennett, Jordan Grace Evans;
A sister:
       Carrie Quick                                                                                                              Wallaceton
Numerous nieces and nephews;
And dear friends:
       Dolly Spencer and Wonda Hoover.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Forrest Milligan on June 22, 1987, four brothers Roland, Kenneth, Blair and Arthur Maines and a sister Margaret Fleck.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Robert Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Reidy Cemetery, Wallaceton.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 6 – 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 – 11:00 a.m.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Church of the Nazarene, 403 Ogden Avenue, Clearfield. Â
