CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough Operations Manager Leslie Stott announced at Thursday night’s meeting that the compost site will now be locked due to garbage being dumped there and guide rails being stolen.
Stott said they were not able to identify who dumped the garbage at the site. They are looking into where the guide rails might be salvaged. Stott also said Lawrence Township is experiencing similar garbage dumping at their compost site as well.
The public is asked to contact the borough office if they need to access the compost site.
