Police were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of Maple for a burglary. A large amount of money and several other items were taken from the residence.
Police located an 18-year-old DuBois man on West Long Avenue. He was arrested on a robbery warrant. He was arraigned and transported to Clearfield County Jail. The Sandy Township Police Department assisted.
Police were dispatched to the 100 block of East Park Avenue for a report of a fight-in-progress. Prior to arrival one of the parties fled the scene in a vehicle. The other person did not want to press charges.
Police were called for a retail theft that occurred at Sheetz on North Brady Street. An unknown female stole merchandise. When she was confronted by employees she fled the scene.
Police were dispatched to West Washington Avenue for a report of kids stealing from vehicles. They were gone when officers arrived. The caller gave a description of the kids, and later located them in a parking lot on the 200 block of West Long Avenue, taking more items. They again fled prior to police arrival. The caller continued to search for the kids on foot. He located them in the S&T Bank parking lot, going through vehicles. Officers were in the area but were unable to locate them. An officer on patrol located kids matching the description at Sheetz on North Brady Street. Both kids, 13-year-olds, were found to be in possession of the stolen items. It was also learned that they gained entry into the concessions stand at the Little League field. They were found to be in possession of a key form a Yamaha utility vehicle as well as two stolen bicycles from Parkway Drive. Most of the items were recovered. The kids, one from Penfield and one from Falls Creek, were turned over to their parents and charges are pending.
