CLEARFIELD – Students of the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center saw their NOCTI testing scores jump by 12 percent from last year, Lois Richards, executive director, announced in her report Monday night.
Richards said they had 72 percent earn their PA Skills Certificate this year. She said they only reached a 60 percent benchmark last year. She added they had an overall pass rate of 85 percent.
Also, she said they had three programs which achieved a 100 percent for both PA Skills Certification and overall pass rate. She said those programs were culinary arts, health and diversified occupations.
“Those programs had every student pass at an advanced four level,” she said. She said their students have done exceptionally well this year.
She continued, stating the students performed well on a difficult, national test. She said it’s an indicator of how well-taught the programs are at the CCCTC.
Richards said they had 127 students complete the NOCTI testing. She said they had 10 of the 15 programs reach an overall pass rate of better than 80 percent.
