Margaret E. Hoskavich, age 87, of Ridge Street in DuBois, PA died on May 24, 2010 at her residence.
She was born on June 24, 1922 in DuBois, PA. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Martha (Hendricks) Brown.
On June 23, 1948, she married Steven Hoskavich. He preceded her in death in April of 1984.
She was a homemaker and had previously worked at Jeffers Electronics and the Jackson China Co.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Rosary Infant of Prague Society. She was a charter member of the Friendship Hose Co. #2 Ladies Auxilary.
She enjoyed making crafts and working around the outside of her home.
She is survived by her children:Â Mary Alice Allen of Jackson, Florida, Michael Hoskavich and his wife, Lisa of Burnham, PA and Mrs. Patrick (Peggy) Smiley of DuBois, PA, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers (Ralph and Floyd Brown) and two sisters (Joyce Love and Irene Malasky).
Visitation will be held on May 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.
The rosary will be prayed on Wednesday afternoon at 1:45 p.m.
A Scriptural Wake Service will be held on Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m. from the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on May 27 at 10 a.m. from St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Fr. David Foradori as celebrant.
Burial will be held in Morningside Cemetery.
