Erma G. Johns, age 92, of Fairview Avenue in DuBois, PA died on May 23, 2010 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
She was born on August 13, 1917 in Brockway, PA to the late Samuel and Lucy (Menichelli) Manning.
On Aug. 10, 1940, she married George E. Johns, Sr. He preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 1997.
She was a homemaker and a self employed beautician.
She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the Christ the King Manor Auxiliary and a member of the “Little R. Club”
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Patricia) Tindall of New Castle, PA and Margaret L. “Peggy” Agosti of Delmont, PA and one son, George E. “Jake” Johns, Jr. and wife, Karen of Stamford, CT, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be held on May 25 from 5-8 p.m. from the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.
A Scriptural Wake Service will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 4:45 p.m. from the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on May 26 at 10 a.m. from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Catherine Cemetery.
