KARTHAUS – A lane restriction will be in place on May 24 and 25 on the Karthaus Truss Bridge on state Route 879. The bridge is located in the village of Karthaus, on the Clearfield and Centre counties line.
Crews will be working from 7am to 6pm each day to apply an epoxy surface material to the bridge deck. This work will require an alternating traffic pattern. Flaggers will control traffic flow and require traffic to take turns crossing the bridge while work is taking place.
The deck surface work is leftover from the bridge preservation work done on the bridge in 2009. Francis J. Palo, Inc. of Clarion was the contractor on the $1.2 million project.
PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out.
