JAY TOWNSHIP – A 62-year-old Weedville man will face charges following a Saturday afternoon assault at a Bennetts Valley Highway residence, the Ridgway State Police reported.
Paul D. Thomas, 62 of Weedville, has been charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. He was arraigned and placed in the Elk County Prison in lieu of $5,000 straight bail.
According to the report, Thomas engaged in a verbal argument with a known Weedville female. During the dispute, the defendant reportedly held a kitchen knife to the back of the victim while threatening the female.
Thomas also reportedly attempted to chock the victim and shoved her head into a cabinet. He then pushed her to the ground, troopers said.
