- Police reported a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 that involved Cody E. Crawford, 22 of Pleasantville, losing control of his 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Upon losing control he traveled off the south shoulder and hit a guide rail. Police were assisted by the Pine Creek Township Fire Department.
- Police reported a two-vehicle accident that occurred on state Highway 153 in Huston Township. Brian Knapp, 39 of Penfield, and Denise Chicola, 38 of Saint Mary’s, were both traveling north when Chicola slowed down to turn right onto Laurel Run Road and Knapp ran into her. Knapp was taken to Dubois Regional Medical Center by a private vehicle. Chicola was taken to Clearfield Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Knapp’s 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt, and Chicola’s 2007 Ford Fusion, were towed by Bricen’s Towing.
- Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime between May 4 and May 10 in which someone damaged a mailbox belonging to Melanie Myers of Brockway.Â
- Police reported an incident of simple assault and domestic violence on Wayne Road in Winslow Township. A Reynoldsville man was charged with simple assault after hitting a person several times on the head and face after pushing them to the ground. He was arraigned before District Justice 54-3-02 and sent to the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $15,000 straight bail.
- Sometime between May 3 and May 4 someone damaged the garage door of Darwin E. Shaffer, 40 of Penfield. The incident is being investigated.
- A one-vehicle accident occurred on US Route 322 approximately one mile west of Bearfield Road. A Woodland man was traveling east when he was distracted and bent down to pick something up. He traveled off the road and rode up onto a guide rail and traveled along it for approximately 51 feet before rolling over the guide rail. The 1995 Nissan truck rolled a complete revolution before coming to a rest on its wheels. He was wearing a seatbelt. Police determined that He was under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for driving under the influence. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
