DUBOIS – During the public comments of Monday night’s city council meeting, Guy Gerhart, of East DuBois Ave., expressed his concern for the proposal of the “Resident Only” signage being removed from the east side of town.
Gerhart said that although the Penn State DuBois does have parking lots there are still students who park on the streets and is concerned for himself and other residents who live in that area not having ample parking.
Mayor Gary Gilbert said that residents must have the parking permits displayed in their vehicles. Mike DiLullo, DuBois City Police Chief, said that there is a $50 fine if a car is parked there without the permit.
The permits are free and available at the city building.
