CLEARFIELD – The Chamber of Commerce of Clearfield has announced that they will be holding a $100,000 Amateur Golf Shoot-Out. The event is taking place at Eagles Ridge Golf Club’s driving range. Qualifying dates are taking place May 11, 12, 18 and 19 between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Rain dates are set for May 14 and 21.
This is a new event that is sure to get any avid golfer, or anyone that has the ability to hit a golf ball, to take their shot at a hole-in-one to win $100,000. Here’s how it works: everyone has the chance to qualify between 4 and 7 p.m. on the above mentioned dates by trying to get their golf ball as close to the pin as possible or in the hole. The ten individuals with golf balls closest to the pin or in the hole at the end of the qualifying dates will return Saturday, May 22 at 9 a.m. for their shot at a hole-in-one to win $100,000! There is no entry fee, just a $1 donation per ball with no limit on how many purchased.
Everyone who enters will receive a $50 gift card coupon for Store4Golfers.com. The ten individuals with a ball closest to the pin or in the hole will receive special gifts and become finalists for the hole-in-one challenge. At the final on Saturday, May 22 any finalist that scores a hole-in-one will receive $100,000. Also, the finalist with the golf ball closest to the pin will take home a new gas grill!
The Amateur Golf Shoot-Out final on May 22 will be held at the ninth hole at Eagles Ridge Golf Club, which is close to the club house, so all spectators are welcome. The final is also scheduled in conjunction with the Clearfield and Curwensville Rotary Clubs Golf Outing. If you’d like to enter the 9th Annual Outing call Bill at 236-2872.
