Peggy Jane Schaffer, Age 66, of the Luthersburg-Rockton Road, Luthersburg, PA died Thursday, April 22, 2010 at her residence.
Born on Feb. 28, 1944 in Henderson Township, Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert L. and Kathleen V. (Bonnett) Haag.
On April 28, 1962, she married Leon James Schaffer, Sr. He survives.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting.
She is survived by 2 sons (Leon J. Schaffer, Jr. and his wife Dru of Ashland, KY, and Brian L. Schaffer of Luthersburg, PA) and 5 grandchildren (Brigette, Brooke, and Spencer Schaffer, and Leiloni and Roman DeLong)Â
She is also survived by 3 brothers (Darrell Haag and his wife Marilyn of DuBois, PA; Thomas Haag of Reynoldsville, PA, and Larry Haag and his wife Jan of Big Run, PA), a sister (Mrs. Norman (Ruth) Pearce of Luthersburg, PA), a step-brother (Dean Weaver of Ohio), and 2 step-sisters (Mrs. Earl (Elaine) Vicklund of DuBois, PA, and Joanne Weaver of Falls Creek, PA)
She was preceded in death by her parents, a step-mother (Loraine Weaver), and a step brother (William Weaver)
Visitation will be held on April 26 from 2-4 &7-9 p.m. from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home Inc.
A funeral service will be held on April 27 at 11 a.m. from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Sherwood officiating.
