LOCK HAVEN – On Saturday, April 10, the Criminal Justice Club of Lock Haven University Clearfield Campus participated in the Adopt-A-Highway program, by cleaning a two mile strip of road on United States Route 322 along Rockton Mountain. Participating club members included Evelyn Lewis, Christian Arnold, Mike Conrad, Cody Wright, Tina Yard, and Dave Moore, along with club adviser, Dr. Michael McSkimming.
The group collected 25 bags of garbage in approximately two hours of work. The Criminal Justice Club plans to keep their portion of Route 322 clean by participating in numerous clean-ups throughout the year. As one club member stated, “It was great to get out and make a little piece of the earth nicer.”
Dr. Marianne Hazel, LHU Clearfield Campus Interim Dean, added, “This is another example of the dedication of our faculty and students to the Clearfield community. The criminal justice club has participated in numerous volunteer activities this year. We are proud of them and commend their efforts in making a difference in the Clearfield community.”
