An accident occurred along Interstate 99 North near mile marker 60 as a result of a West Decatur woman driving under the influence. She was traveling southbound on Interstate 99 with her dog in her lap when she lost control of the 1994 Chevrolet Blazer she was driving. The vehicle crossed over the median before it struck and went over the guide rail heading into the northbound lane. The Blazer then proceeded into the northbound lanes where it crossed both lanes and struck the guide rail on the east side of the roadway where it came to a final stop. She was not wearing a seatbelt and did not sustain any injuries. The Blazer sustained major damage and was towed from the scene. After a thorough investigation police arrested her for DUI. The DUI and other charges will be filed at Magistrate 40-3-03.Â
An incident of harassment, involving a 14-year old boy and an 18-year old man occurred in the vicinity of Elderberry Lane in Huston Township. Summary charges will be filed against the 18-year old man due to punching and shoving the 14-year old boy.
