Beverly Jayne Orwig, 73 of Clearfield, died Friday at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
Born July 14, 1936 in Bellefonte, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Josephine M. (Hovan) Ramish.
Mrs. Orwig was employed by the Helmbold & Stewart Group, Clearfield as an insurance agent, retiring after 20 years of employment. She also worked as a secretary in the Department of Agriculture at Penn State University, State College, for 10 years.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, and the Clearfield-Curwensville Country Club.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Orwig, whom she wed Dec. 19, 1958 in Bellefonte; a daughter, Lisa B. Orwig, of Dallas, TX; a brother and a sister, Philip Ramish and wife, Mary Jane, of Bellefonte; and Betty Ann Dodge and husband, David, of Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Richard Ramish.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield from 2 -4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 12:30 – 1 p.m. Wednesday.
At the funeral home on Tuesday, a Christian Vigil Service will be held at 1:45 p.m. and the Rosary will be said at 5:45 p.m.
