CLEARFIELD – Auditions for Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre’s next production, the comedy LUV, will be held at the CAST Building on April 13 from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. The production calls for a cast of two men and one woman all in the 30-50 age range.
A mix of absurdist humor and traditional Broadway comedy, Luv concerns two college friends – misfit Harry and materialistic Milt – who are reunited when the latter stops the former from jumping off a bridge. Each discovers the other is equally miserable as they share hard-luck stories. Milt sees in Harry an answer to his primary problem – his wife Ellen, who he tries to foist on his old pal so he can run off with his mistress.
Rehearsals for the production will be held weeknights and the production will run May 13, 14, 15; 22, 23, 24 at 7 p.m. each night.
The play will be directed by Susan Loffredi who most recently directed The Sound of Music and The Diary of Anne Frank.
Those auditioning will be asked to read from the script. Also, those auditioning will be asked to list time conflicts from April 15 through the run of the play. Anyone interested in auditioning who might have questions is welcome to call the CAST
