BROOKVILLE – Get ready to be thrilled and chilled as Historic Brookville transforms into a Halloween wonderland for the highly-anticipated Haunted Brookville celebration.
On Saturday, Oct. 26, join for a free all-day Halloween-themed festival that promises fun for all ages. It’s a perfect opportunity to celebrate the spooky season with friends and family, making memories that will last a lifetime.
Oct. 15 – Oct. 25:
The Halloween Window Painting tradition in Brookville is one of the town’s most beloved events, celebrating over 60 years of spooky creativity.
Each year, Brookville students bring Main Street to life with their Halloween-themed artwork, transforming shop windows into vibrant displays of ghouls, pumpkins and festive fun.
This year, the window painting will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 15 (with a rain date of Oct. 16).
Organizers encourage everyone to take a stroll down Main Street to admire the incredible artwork and vote for your favorite. Ballots will be available at Fox’s Pizza, the YMCA and Brookville Chamber office.
The People Choice winner will be announced during the Haunted Brookville celebrations.
Thursday, Oct. 24:
- Murder Mystery Party:  The excitement kicks off early with a thrilling Murder Mystery Party, hosted by Brookville Chamber on Thursday, Oct. 24. Embrace the spirit of the Roaring 20’s by dressing up in your best mobster-inspired outfit. Whether you come as a suave gangster, a glamourous flapper, or a daring detective, make sure you look the part. Be part of the action and help solve the murder of a local crime boss. This thrilling evening promises an unforgettable experience—hurry, tickets are selling fast.
Friday, Oct. 25:
- Eerie Tales Guided Walking Tour: Brookville Community Theater is excited to bring you “Eerie Tales,” a mysterious and spooky guided walking tour along Main Street on Friday, Oct. 25. Meet live actors portraying legendary figures inspired by Brookville’s past, each location with a new tale. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. All proceeds benefit Brookville Community Theater and the Restoration Project of the historic Columbia Theater. This popular live-performance event promises to sell fast, so get your tickets early!Â
Saturday, Oct. 26:
All day, Brookville will be buzzing with Halloween magic.
- Kids’ Activities & Shop Specials:  Enjoy spooky fun and sweet deals from local shops, specially prepared to make your Halloween experience unforgettable.
- Main Street Treat Trail:Â Stroll down Main Street and gather treats from participating businesses.
- Costume Contest:Â Dress up in your best Halloween attire and compete for prizes.
- Cemetery Tours:Â The Jefferson County Historical Society will take you on a journey through the past with fascinating cemetery tours.
- Thriller Dance:Â Bindi will be joining us again this year to teach the Thriller dance and perform in Town Square.
Important Update: Trick-or-Treat is moved to Saturday, Oct. 26
- Trick-or-Treat Parade: This year, Brookville Borough has responded to the concerns and Trick-or-Treat has been moved to Saturday, Oct. 26. Gather at the YMCA at 4 p.m. for the annual Halloween Parade, ending at the Brookville Fire Department. There, kids can enjoy special treats before heading out to trick-or-treat around town.
Other Halloween fun includes Haunted Barn, located at 1801 Old State Rd., in Brookville. Opening night is on Friday, Oct. 11, from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m., and every Friday and Saturday throughout October.
New this year, spooky adventures with a Haunted Hayride. For just $10 per person, hop on for a thrilling ride through eerie scenes and haunted tales.
Opening Friday, Oct. 11, from 7 p.m. -10 p.m. and continues every Friday and Saturday throughout October, plus Thursday, Oct. 31.
The hayride will take place in the field next to K&T, just look for the signs.
Proceeds benefit Brookville Community Theater, so come out for a great cause and a night of frightful fun.
