Jessie M. Billotte, 79, of Bigler passed on to a better life on April 7, 2010 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Born Sept. 7, 1930 in Clearfield, she was a daughter of Sarah E. (Woodling) Bishop and Raymond W. Bishop.
Mrs. Billotte was employed as a librarian in the Clearfield School District and retired from Bigler Elementary. She also worked at the General Cigar Plant in Philipsburg and was a cafeteria worker in the past.
She loved to shop, work on crossword puzzles and plan holiday get-togethers. She was a homemaker and Methodist by faith.
She is survived by three sons: Richard E. Billotte and wife Janet of O’Shanter, Rodger D. Billotte of Shiloh and Raymond N. Billotte and companion Dorothy I. Hale of Hyde; five grandchildren: Sarah and Clint Billotte, Raymond and Mandy Billotte, and Bridgett Billotte; six great-grandchildren: Shelby and Cheyenne Rowles, Darin and Datin, Luke Strathen and Dannilynne Rayne Billotte; brother, Jerry W. Bishop and wife Peggy of Pleasant Valley; sister-in-law Mary Jane Bishop of Woodland and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband Ernest James Billotte.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield at the convenience of the family with The Reverend Lisa K. Schoonmaker officiating. Interment will be in the Bigler Cemetery, Bigler.
At the request of Mrs. Billotte, there will be no public visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice.
