CLEARFIELD – An assault that occurred at the Clearfield County Jail is in under investigation by the Lawrence Township Police Department.
Police were initially called out for a report of assault by prisoner, aggravated assault, simple assault and related charges. According to police four inmates were involved in a fight. One man had to be transported to Clearfield Hospital for injuries.
Charges are pending against two of the men involved.
More information on the incident was not available at the time of this posting. A call to the LTPD indicated that charges would be filed against the two men later today and that more information would be availalbe on Wednesday.
