March 19
- Police observed a man attempting to walk on the sidewalk on east West Long Avenue. He was staggering back and forth and having a hard time staying on the sidewalk. Police stopped him and could smell a strong odor of alcohol. He was cited for public drunkenness.
March 20
- Police were called to Extreme Wear for an alarm going off from the back door. They found all doors and windows to be secure.
- Police are investigating a stolen purse from a vehicle on South Highland Street. Someone entered a woman’s locked vehicle and took the purse, which contained a credit card, a gas card, and other items.
- Police are investigating a theft on South Highland Street that involves someone entering a Ford Focus and a GMC Truck. There was nothing taken from the Ford Focus but a backpack of tools and a phone charger were taken from the truck.
- Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief at Stolz Hyundai on Beaver Drive. Two parked vehicles had multiple marks on the sides which appeared to be from a BB gun.
- Police are investigating an incident of theft from a vehicle. Someone entered a woman’s friend’s vehicle that was parked at her residence and took a cell phone charger, iPod charger, digital camera, and a garage door opener.
- While on patrol police observed a vehicle traveling on the wrong side of the road almost hitting a couple parked vehicles on the side of the road. The vehicle also struck the curb. Police stopped the vehicle on Robinson Street. Police approached the man who was driving and identified him. He had a strong alcohol smell emitting his breath. He was arrested for driving under the influence and was later released to his father.
March 21
- While on patrol police were called to the 400 block of West Long Avenue for a report of a female yelling outside his residence. Police discovered it to be a woman they had just dealt with on a previous incident. Police found her to be intoxicated and yelling. She was placed under arrest for creating a disturbance and for a probation violation. She was transported to the Clearfield County Jail for the probation violation and was cited for disorderly conduct.
- Police responded to Martin’s Grocery Store for a shoplifting incident. Police spoke to the store detective after arriving who said he witnessed the woman taking items and putting them in her purse and pockets. The amount of items taken was $87. The woman was identified and was arrested for retail theft.
- Police are investigating an incident of theft from a motor vehicle that occurred on Olive Avenue. Someone entered the vehicle and stole two bags full of change and bills. The dash board and console were emptied of their contents. There was also a scratch on the hood, passenger side and on the back of the roof which occurred a few days before this incident.
- Police were sent to Martin’s for a retail theft that involved to a man taking two jars of peanut butter. The store detective observed John Kimberling hiding the jars and trying to leave the store. Kimberling was arrested for retail theft.
- Police were dispatched to the 300 block of North Third Street for a report of criminal mischief. The damage was caused by someone throwing a brick through the window of a residence.
- Police were contacted by a woman in regards to a man showing her his privates while she and her child were walking on the walkway. The man kept watching the woman and her child as they walked and when she passed him he was holding his privates and speaking vulgarities. Police arrived and found the man who fit the description. Police identified him. He had a strong odor of alcohol emitting from him. He admitted to exposing himself to the woman and her child. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
