FOX TOWNSHIP – A West Decatur woman suffered moderate injuries in an accident in Elk County.
According to state police in Ridgway, Jennifer L. Sayers, 42 of Kersey, was stopped in the left hand lane of state Route 255 waiting to turn onto Fern Lane. Tuesday J. Passmore, 47 of West Decatur, was driving a 2003 Jeep Liberty, south in the left hand, southbound lane on state Route 255 and did not see the 2001 Chevrolet Venture Sayers was driving until it stopped in the travel lane. Once Passmore saw Sayers vehicle was stopped, she applied the brakes and attempted to drive into the right hand lane of SR 255. The driver’s side, front bumper of the Jeep Liberty hit the rear passenger side of the Chevrolet Venture.
Passmore was transported to Elk Regional Health Center for moderate injuries. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
