CLEARFIELD – The Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers will be in Clearfield March 21 at the Clearfield Area High School to benefit “Queen’s for Kids” and the Children’s Miracle Network.
Clearfield County Fair Queen Rachel Syktich and her court will be in attendance to cheer the home team, Queen’s for Kids All-Stars, who are comprised of 19 men and women from various backgrounds. This is a 100 percent charitable event with all proceeds going to the Children’s Miracle Network.
Two area poster children will be featured during the “Queen’s for Kids” Steeler Basketball Fundraiser this Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Clearfield High School gymnasium. The Children’s Miracle Network has just recently named poster children for 2010 and 2-year-old Isabelle McMonigal , a recent resident of Clearfield and 12-year-old Derek Reese of Port Matilda will be escorted by Children’s Miracle Network representative Vanessa Houser.
The families are extremely excited to tell their stories how fundraisers such as this has effected their lives and at the same time enjoy relaxing family afternoon event. The families express their gratitude to all the organizers and volunteers for this effort to raise funds dedicated to help save more lives.
Tickets and seating for the worthy charitable event are very limited and sold on a first-come first-serve, basis. The cooperation of several area businesses have made it possible to keep this an affordable wholesome family event. By their generous donations ticket prices are only $7.00 each.
Tickets are available at the following locations until noon Saturday March 21: Clearfield County Fair & Park Office, Zalno Jewelers, Jim’s Sports Center and Swales Styleline Upholstery in Clearfield. Champions Choice in Curwensville and DuBois Business College and Skytich Appliance in DuBbois.
