CLEARFIELD – The sewer project in Lawrence Township has seen some setbacks.
According to Lawrence Township Chairman Supervisor Bill Lawhead the project has until June 30 to get pipe in the ground. He said that due to the weather and other circumstances, the project slowed down. He said the Maxwell Trucking, the contractor on the job, will not have a majority of the project’s pipe in the ground by June 30.
Lawhead said that DEP could fine the township, but that an extension is going to be asked for.
The project has moved to Martin Street Extension and Susquehanna Terrace.
“We’re conentrating on getting pipe in the ground now,” said Lawhead.
