Marion S. Dixon, 85 of Coraopolis and formerly of West Decatur, died Saturday at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – Shady Side.
Born on Nov. 30, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Catherine (Evans) Steele. She was a member of the Church of God, Wallaceton, and the Centre Hill Grange, Morrisdale. She worked at the former CIU, West Decatur.
She married Lionel R. Dixon on March 27, 1945 in West Decatur. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1990. She is also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Philip B. Dixon, one sister, Betty Smeal; and three brothers, Homer Steele, Richard Steele and an infant brother Charles Steele.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Tassone, of Coraopolis. She’s also survived by three grandsons, a great-granddaughter and a daughter-in-aw.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills with the Rev. Timothy Richmond officiating. Interment will be at the Reidy Cemetery, Wallaceton.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
