DUBOIS – The following information is an update for PennDOT’s Hospital Avenue/Dixon Avenue realignment project in DuBois for the week of March 8.
All work is weather dependent.
The contractor will be installing new storm water drainage facilities adjacent to South Main Street and Hospital Avenue. No traffic impacts are expected.Â
The contractor will be installing a storm-water, drainage pipe across South Main Street. The work on South Main Street will take place between Dixon Avenue and Hospital Avenue. Traffic will be restricted to one lane during the installation of the pipe. Flaggers will be in place to direct traffic. Traffic delays are anticipated. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.
The overall project will re-align Hospital Avenue with Dixon Avenue, will also feature roadway widening, new traffic signals, and improved access to DRMC. The job is scheduled to run through late November of this year.
SET, Inc. of Lowellville, Ohio is the contractor on the $4.2 million project.
