CLEARFIELD – As spring approaches, the Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library wants to help its patrons rid themselves of the winter blues. Beginning March 1, the library will sponsor an Egg Guess Contest to anyone who visits the library.
Contestants will have the opportunity to enter the drawing by guessing how many eggs are used to decorate Shaw Library. Various types of eggs will be placed throughout the library in preparation for the Easter season. Interested participants should see a library staff member at the front desk for an entry form. The form features a space for contestants to guess how many eggs they believe are currently embellishing the library. The participant who guesses the number of eggs used closest to the actual number without going over will win a prize basket.
“This contest is open to both adults and youth,” stated Paula Marshall, library director, “We hope to have great participation by all ages.”
Anyone wishing to participate in the Egg Guess Contest should visit the library between Monday, March 1st and Friday, March 26th. Contest forms are available at the front desk during regular business hours. The Shaw Library is open Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Additional information may be found at the library’s Web site.
