CLEARFIELD – Emergency responders received praise on Tuesday for the actions at accident scenes on Interstate 80 earlier this month.
Commissioner Chair John Sobel said thanks were in order for all emergency medical services, law enforcement and fire officials who responded to the accidents. Sobel said the situations would have been worse if not for the efforts of first responders.
“Volunteers from around the county did a great job up there,” said Emergency Management Agency Director Josh Quigley.
“It really shows the dedication to training all those organizations do,” said Commissioner Mark McCracken.
“Most of these people are volunteers,” said Commissioner Joan Robinson-McMillen. “These people leave the warmth of their homes to help.”
