CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Center for Active Living, in partnership with the new Market Street craft store, is offering a series of craft workshops in March. On four Wednesday mornings, beginning March 3 at 10:30 a.m., Kerri Miller and Paula Miller will offer a variety of craft and technique workshops. County residents aged 50 and older are invited to join in the fun.
Classes are scheduled for the creation of earrings, a perpetual calendar, a beaded bookmark and, using the old “toothbrush rug” technique, the making of coasters or a trivet. Reservations are needed, and as class size is limited, early sign-up is suggested. There is a small fee for supplies used in the craft making.
Reservations or questions may be directed to the Clearfield Center for Active Living at 765-9319 or 800-225-8571. The Center is located in the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging building at 103 North Front Street, Clearfield. Those interested in having lunch afterward at the Center are asked to make a meal reservation prior to the day of class. Any Clearfield County individual 60 years of age or older may contribute to the cost of the meal on a donation basis. The cost to those under age 60 is $3.00.
Programs and services of the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc. are funded in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc., Mature Resources Foundation, and local and client contributions.
