CLEARFIELD – The spring preschool programs at the Joseph and Elizabeth Shaw Public Library will begin the week of March 1. The theme is Animal Kingdom and registration is currently underway. During the six week session, preschoolers will enjoy stories, crafts, and games that support the theme.
Baby time is a half-hour program designed to introduce parents and babies 6 months to 2 years of age to the rewards of the library and the importance of reading to children at a young age. The class times are Monday or Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. on both days.
Toddler time is a 45-minute program offered for children aged 2 to 3 years of age and story time is an hour long class for the children ages 3, 4 and 5 years. Both toddler time and story time incorporate stories, puppets, games, crafts, music and more into a program to encourage a love of reading and libraries, promote cognitive and language development, and assist in the life long learning process.
