Joseph W. Gillingham, 27, nicknamed ‘Cheeseburger’, of Clearfield died on Feb. 6 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Hospital.
He was born on Oct. 4, 1982 in Clearfield, a son of Gail Seaburn of Clearfield and Joseph W. Gillingham III of Lebanon.
Joey played football, baseball and wrestled for the Curwensville Golden Tide High School teams.
He is survived by a brother, Eric Gillingham of Clearfield; a paternal grandmother, Barbara Ann Gillingham of Clearfield; maternal grandparents, Helen Seaburn of Williamsport and William Seaburn of Jersey Shore; a maternal great grandmother, Lerena Haag of Milton; three aunts, Linda McGary and her husband, Gary, of Curwensville, Tammy Blake of NC, and Valerie Smith of Jersey Shore; a special uncle, Jeffrey Gillingham of Clearfield; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Joseph W. Gillingham, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10-11:00 a.m.
