Gertrude A. Borst, 95 of Clearfield, PA died Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at her home.
Mrs. Borst was born on August 21, 1914 in Lawrence Township, Clearfield County, the daughter of Andrew and Mary C. (McDivitt) Powell.
Mrs. Borst was a member of the Glen Richey Presbyterian Church and had been a homemaker all her life.
She is survived by two children: a son, Rodney L. Borst of and a daughter, Bonnie J. Winters and her husband John all of Clearfield, two grandchildren Tim Winters and Todd Winters and his wife Tammy and two great grandchildren Luke and Alayna Winters all of Clearfield, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Borst was the last member of her generation, having been preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leroy “Todd” Borst whom she married November 23, 1933 in Mahaffey and who died May 11, 2007, and a brother Charles Powell and a sister Myrtle Read and an infant daughter.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield with Lay Pastor Leanne Peters officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Bethel Church Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, February 5, 2010 from 4:00P.M. until the hour of the services.
