HUMMELSTOWN – The Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Foundation is pleased to announce that both Senatorial Democratic Candidates, Specter and Sestak, have agreed to participate in a one-hour debate to be televised live at 7 p.m. on May 1 from the studios of WTXF TV, Philadelphia.
PAB is most grateful to all of Philadelphia’s television stations for offering to host the debate. A drawing was held and WTXF TV will be the debate’s location. We thank Patrick Paolini, President/General Manager and his WTXF staff.
John Baer, Philadelphia Daily News journalist, will be moderator. Baer has moderated several of the Foundation’s past debates.
The debate will be offered to all Pennsylvania Radio and Television stations to carry live or on a delayed basis for 48 hours. Pennsylvania Cable Network will also broadcast the debate beginning 24 hours after its conclusion.
Credential media journalists are invited to attend. To register, please contact Richard Wyckoff at PAB. The candidates will take questions from members of the media following the debate.
“We are very pleased to offer this debate to the voters of Pennsylvania,” said Richard Wyckoff, PAB Foundation president. “The broadcasters of Pennsylvania look forward to working with the Specter and Sestak Campaigns and to providing a lively, informative debate.”
