Big Sister Breanna Mosch and Little Sister Lauren Malloy, both of Clearfield, spread some holiday cheer by baking cookies in their Santa hats, made just for the occasion.
Matched since November 2009, Breanna and Lauren get together twice a month to do activities that they both enjoy. From hanging out at Breanna’s house and playing with her dogs, to going out to eat and playing at an arcade, Little moments are turning into Big magic for them both.
January 2010 has been designated as National Mentoring Month. Across America, Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies are calling on not only volunteers, but donors as well, to provide support for the thousands of children who need mentors. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clearfield County is one of the networks’ nearly 400 agencies helping about 255,000 Littles – primarily children of single, low-income and incarcerated parents – succeed in and out of school.
