In the spirit of trying to be fair and balanced, I would like to respond to this recent letter. Bud George is a populist. He tries to represent all of his constituents, regardless of party affiliation. Thanks to the tireless work of Bud George, thousands of new jobs have been created, and hundreds of millions of dollars have been invested in Clearfield County. Here are some examples.
The Clearfield Campus of Lock Haven University.
The Wal-mart Distribution Center
The Clearfield ethanol plant
The State Prison at Houtzdale
The Clearfield Industrial Park
There are many other examples, such as grants and low interest loans for water, sewer, and other local development projects. He has helped many local businesses obtain loans to expand. He has also served as the voice of the people when his constituents need help with problems involving governmental agencies. I think it is safe to say the majority of voters agree, and prove it by continuing to re-elect him by overwhelming margins. As a former constituent, I believe Clearfield County is fortunate to have him.
