GIRARD TOWNSHIP – Cpl. Thomas Josephson, a state police fire marshall, assisted Goshen and Girard fire companies in attempting to determin the originand cause of a
fire that destroyed the Linglewood Lodge.
The 14,000 squre feet, two-story lodge was totally destroyed. Due to the extensive damage a specific point of origin or cause could not be determined. It is believed that the fire originated on the front first floor of the lodge. Damage is estimated at about $450,000.
