CLEARFIELD – On Thursday Clearfield Borough Fire Chief Todd Kling gave an update on the relationship between council and the fire department.
The report came after Kling reported that the aerial truck, which was recently inspected, had nothing wrong with it. A cost is pending on that inspection. Kling said that members of the department stepped up and did minor maintenance not just to the aerial, but to other apparatus, that normally would have cost the borough $40-$80 an hour in fees.
Kling asked members of council to thank the members of the fire department when they see them.
Kling also commented on the current council/fire department relationship.
“We have never had a better working relationship,” said Kling. He added that he was really happy with how council is treating the fire department and the direction that council is headed.
