CLEARFIELD – It’s budget time for municipalities and one reported some positive news for taxpayers on Thursday night.
It was announced during Clearfield Borough Council’s committees meetings that residents of Clearfield Borough will not face a tax increase in 2010.
According to Susan Reed, chair of the finance committee, the 2010 budget is set at $2,005,050.
“It’s a very lean budget,” said Reed. “We are giving increases that are mandatory.
“Every department held expenses to an absolute minimum.”
