CLEARFIELD – The budget for 2010 in Clearfield County is under way.
“We’re just beginning the process,” said Commissioner Chair Joan Robinson-McMillen. She added that the commissioners recently finished budget hearings with county department heads.
“We do not want to raise taxes,” said McMillen.
The commissioners said that when they sent the memo out to department heads for the hearings they asked them to be conservative with budget requests. According to the commissioners the department heads have held the line on line items.
“This budget is going to be very, very tight this year,” said McMillen.
