CLEARFIELD – Gene Kephart, executive director of Cen-Clear Child Services, Inc. (CCS) was pleased to announce a $1,550 grant from The State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company which will be used to purchase smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and escape ladders for families served by the agency.
The grant from State Farm will be used in conjunction with Project Fire F.L.I.E.S., the agency’s fire safety instruction program. CCS developed and implemented this program in 2002 in conjunction with local volunteer fire companies. Funding from State Farm allows fire safety equipment to be provided to families that need it.
According to Kephart, “We are extremely grateful for the support we have received from the State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company. We believe our fire prevention program helps to save lives, and the grant from State Farm makes the program all the more effective because we can place additional fire safety and emergency devices in family homes.”
