The Philipsburg Main Street Program is hosting the Eighth Annual Harvest Fest on Saturday, October 31. All events are open to the public.
From 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM vendors will be open in the Moshannon Building Parking Lot on the 200 Block of North Front Street. This will feature local non-profit and civic organizations as well as private vendors.
A Halloween Parade for all ages will assemble outside the Philipsburg Towers with registration beginning at the Philipsburg Senior Center at 11:30 AM. The parade will begin at 12:00 PM at the Corner of Front and Spruce Streets, and will proceed along North Front Street to make a right-hand turn onto West Presqueisle Street. The Parade will end at the Borough parking lot at the bottom of the hill on West Presqueisle Street. Immediately following the parade, awards and complimentary treat bags will be presented at 1 North Front Street Café Books Events, on the north west corner of Front and Presquiesle Streets.
Other events include: a Pumpkin Carving contest; entries can be dropped off at 1 North Front Street between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM; prizes will be awarded following the parade, free and the Simler House, corner of South Second and Laurel Streets, will be open to the public from 11:00AM to 2:00 PM, thanks to the Philipsburg Historical Foundation. There will be a haunted house at 1 North Front Street from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
The Moshannon Valley AmVets will host a Halloween Party for all ages at the AmVets hall on West Presqueisle Street immediately following the parade. The Halloween Party is open to the public.
There will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy downtown Philipsburg and celebrate the fall harvest. Join us for a Spooktacular event!
